How to subscribe to paid features

Next Chapters offers additional features for subscribers. Subscribing unlocks advanced tools, expanded functionality, and AI-assisted features that are not available on the free plan.

You do not need to pay to create an account. Anyone can sign up and access the free features of the platform without entering credit card information. Payment information is only requested if you choose to upgrade to a paid subscription.

If you are using a free account, you will see a subscription link at the top of each page while logged in. This link takes you directly to the subscription options. You can also access subscription details by navigating to your account or billing settings.

To subscribe, select the plan you would like to upgrade to and follow the checkout process. You will enter your payment information at that time. Once checkout is complete, your subscription becomes active immediately, and subscriber-only features unlock across the platform.

Subscription features may include access to advanced writing tools, expanded worksheet functionality, Book Chat assistance, AI-generated worksheet responses, enhanced analysis tools, or other premium capabilities. The exact features available depend on your subscription tier.

Your subscription is tied to your account, not to a specific book. Once subscribed, premium features are available across all books you own or contribute to, subject to role and book settings.

All financial transactions are securely processed through Stripe. Next Chapters does not store your credit card information on its own platform. Stripe handles payment processing and secure storage of billing details.

You can view your current subscription status at any time from your account or billing section. If your payment method fails or your subscription lapses, access to subscriber-only features may be limited until billing is resolved.

Subscribing does not change ownership of your books, alter existing content, or affect your contributions. It only expands the tools and capabilities available to you while your subscription is active.
