How to update your profile information
You can update your profile information at any time from within the Next Chapters platform. Your profile controls your personal details, public identity on the platform, and certain security settings.
To access your profile, click your avatar image in the upper right corner of the page and select Profile from the menu. This will take you to your profile page.
From your profile, you can update your name and choose the pseudonym or pen name you want displayed publicly across the platform. You can also upload a new avatar image to represent you on your profile and within shared or collaborative spaces.
Your profile page allows you to change or correct the email address associated with your account and update your password. If you change your email address, you will need to verify the new address before full access to the platform is restored.
You can write or update your bio from your profile page and link to your social media accounts. Your bio and any social links you add are publicly visible on your platform profile, so you should only include information you are comfortable sharing publicly. A short bio is required, but linking social media accounts is optional.
The profile page also includes tools for managing your active browser sessions. You can see where you are currently logged in and log out of other sessions if needed, which is useful if you have accessed the platform from multiple devices or shared computers.
If you decide to leave the platform, you can delete your account from your profile page. Account deletion permanently removes your access and should be used with care.
Changes made on your profile page take effect immediately, with the exception of email changes, which require verification. Updating your profile information does not affect your books, chapters, or subscription status unless explicitly noted.
If you have trouble updating your profile or managing your account settings, support can help confirm your account details and assist with next steps.
